THE TUMBLE (in pieces): A new film

We made a movie about people you don’t see in the big movies. We made it with our bare hands, unassisted by money or its absurd expectations. We made it because nothing was going to stop us from willing these characters into existence. This modest film that isn’t particularly flashy, but refuses to shut up. It has something to say and it comes from my soul and those of my collaborators. For you, it’s another show to skip as you navigate the deepest online waters. And that’s okay, you will find what you need out there. For us, it’s an affirmation that story matters, story heals us if we give it a chance, even if it doesn’t seem that inviting at first. Like tequila. I am proud to share this with you, and proud of my friends who gave it their all to bring this to life. It’s called The Tumble. It’s here for you if you need it.

Nowhere People gets a good grade!

I just found out Robert Roten at Laramie Movie Scope graciously reviewed our film, after it opened the Laramie Film Festival this past November. A little validation for the hard work everyone put into making this film. On this #tbt, I’m grateful to have had great friends as allies in bringing this little film to life! Below is a link to the review, as well as a link to the full length film, now available without interruption on my website for gratis. Happy Thursday!

Alex was in it. So here’s a picture of him.

Tide

I have a feeling 2015 is finally starting. But that’s how I am, I sort of stutter at the beginning. So just as the year is picking up, I’m still pushing to finish my web project. The Tumbleweed Pieces, rewritten a handful of times after production to become Tumbleweed Pieces (it’s cleaner, like when facebook dropped the ‘the’), only to be rewritten once more and still being shot as The Tumble (in pieces). I like that last one, so it might stick.

It’s been a wild journey and now that we are on the verge of completing it, I plan to keep updating you, dear friends, on the final developments. If you like movies about small town characters reeling from isolation, lost chances and quirky happenings, I hope you’ll consider watching this when it’s done within a month or two. I’ll try to post something fun like a link, or emoji or a photograph next time.

Talk soon,

Jaime

OK

I guess it’s time I write something. I’m hesitant at first, but once I warm up it should be O and K.

I hope to make this a conduit for all the news and noise for many endeavor soon to come.

We’ll see how it goes. Talk to you soon… Okay bye.
